West Kalimantan's Medium-Sized Red Onion Price is the Nation's Highest (Thursday, February 24, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of medium-sized shallots (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 43,550 per kg as of Thursday, February 24, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 42,670 per kg.

The daily price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets in West Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 59,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-sized shallots in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 90,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, the price of medium-sized shallots was sold at Rp 55,150 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of medium-sized shallots in North Maluku was Rp 52,950 per kg, Gorontalo Rp 47,700 per kg, and East Kalimantan Rp 46,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are eight provinces with sales of medium-sized shallots below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices of medium-sized shallots are Aceh, Jambi, and North Kalimantan.
