East Java Food Price Update Today: Cooking Oil Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Tuesday, March 5, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (March 5, 2024) at 11:01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, shallots, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, garlic bulbs, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp280 (2.25%) to Rp12,750 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp440 (5.65%) to Rp7,350 per kg.
