Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Chicken, Chili Peppers, and Cooking Oil Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (30/8/2024) at 14:15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel fish, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp250 (1.61%) to Rp15,770 per kg. Red chili peppers experienced the steepest price drop, falling Rp3,890 (6.91%) to Rp52,440 per kg.
