Current Food Prices in Central Java: Egg and Red Chili Prices Drop

The price of several food commodities in Central Java today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (2/4/2025) at 14:52 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, dry soybean (import), table salt, medium rice, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, granulated sugar, packaged cooking oil, pure beef, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fresh buffalo meat (local) saw the highest price increase of Rp160,000 (inf%) to Rp160,000 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most, by Rp8,409 (21.02%) to Rp31,591 per kg.
