Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili, Egg, and Oil Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (27/7/2024) at 09.49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, premium rice, milkfish, medium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp670 (2.48%) to Rp27,710 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves decreased the most, by Rp940 (2.5%) to Rp36,710 per kg.
