Red Chili Prices in Modern Markets for the February 2025-2026 Period

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily red chili price in modern markets of West Java province is recorded at Rp108,35 thousand per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day as well as in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily red chili price in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp71,05 thousand per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily red chili price in modern markets in West Java over the past three months has increased by 24.04% from the previously traded Rp87,35 thousand per kg.

The record increase in daily red chili prices in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2022 with an increase of 106.67% and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -45.79%.

According to the PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in West Java shows one commodity decreased and 19 others increased. The staple food with a price decrease is Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat.
