East Java Food Price Update Today: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Monday, March 18, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (18/3/2024) at 13:13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are milkfish, shallots, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, dry soybean (import), shallot cloves, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp2,510 (9.01%) to Rp30,360 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp800 (10.7%) to Rp6,680 per kg.

7. Milkfish: Rp33,100 per kg (up 4.75%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,940 per kg (down 0.13%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,360 per kg (up 9.01%)
10. Shallots: Rp27,480 per kg (up 0.11%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,870 per kg (down 0.53%)
