Red Chili Prices in DKI Jakarta Highest in Indonesia (Friday, July 8, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 94,560 per kg as of Friday, July 8, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 68,640 per kg.

The daily price of red chilies in modern markets in DKI Jakarta was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 134,950 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chilies in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region is Rp 134,950 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Riau Islands Province, red chilies were sold at Rp 122,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chilies in Riau Province was Rp 122,350 per kg, Banten Rp 117,350 per kg, and East Kalimantan Rp 115,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, there were 16 provinces with red chili sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chilies were North Maluku, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
