Indonesia's Food Prices on Monday (May 13th): What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (13/5/2024) at 16.24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, premium rice, red chilies, dry soybeans (import), and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp440 (1.41%) to Rp31,570 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, down by Rp60 (1.04%) to Rp5,730 per kg.
