The Indonesian government slashed the Ministry of Finance's budget by Rp42.76 trillion in 2023.

In the 2023 State Budget (RAPBN), the government slashed the budget allocation for the Ministry of Finance by Rp42.76 trillion (48.6%), reducing it to only Rp45.22 trillion.

The budget for the Ministry of Finance's management support programs decreased by Rp43.41 trillion (50.96%), falling to Rp41.78 trillion in 2023 compared to Rp85.2 trillion in 2022 (outlook). Meanwhile, the budget for other programs increased.

1. Total Budget: Rp87,982.10 billion to Rp45,224.50 billion
2. State Expenditure Management: Rp16.50 billion to Rp26.70 billion
3. State Revenue Management: Rp2,565.70 billion to Rp2,936.10 billion
4. Treasury, State Assets, and Risk Management: Rp169.10 billion to Rp281.50 billion
5. Fiscal Policy: Rp33.80 billion to Rp196.60 billion
6. Management Support: Rp85,197.00 billion to Rp41,783.60 billion

The Ministry of Finance's expenditure budget reached its highest level in 2021, at Rp87.45 trillion. Then, in the 2022 outlook, it was projected to increase again to Rp87.98 trillion.

The Ministry of Finance is striving to strengthen the implementation of a new work culture within a collaborative ecosystem based on information and communication technology. Many outputs from the ministry's activities are currently transitioning to an information technology-based system.
