Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (13/9/2024) at 13:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices saw the highest increase of Rp4,270 (8.77%) to Rp52,970 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices experienced the largest decrease, falling by Rp1,520 (3.86%) to Rp37,840 per kg.
