Today's Food Prices (05/3) in DKI Jakarta: Onion, Oil and Red Chili Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in DKI Jakarta today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 5, 2026) at 18:01 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are premium packaged palm cooking oil, large red chili, shallots, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as beef rump, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallot prices jumped the highest by Rp416 (0.79%) to Rp53,333 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices fell the steepest by Rp625 (1.16%) to Rp53,333 per kg.
