West Sumatra Weekly Food Prices (December 1st): Rice and Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (1/12/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, chicken eggs, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices increased the most, by Rp1,480 (4.04%) to Rp38,120 per kg. Red chili prices decreased the most sharply, by Rp4,250 (11.32%) to Rp33,300 per kg.
