10 Provinces with the Highest Local White Sugar Prices (Thursday, September 8, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 13,970 per kg, as of Thursday, September 8, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 13,990 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Gorontalo was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 17,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 21,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Papua, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 15,500 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in Maluku was Rp 15,500 per kg, West Papua Rp 15,400 per kg, and Riau Rp 15,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there were 19 provinces with local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices of local granulated sugar were East Java, Lampung, and Riau Islands.
