Jakarta Food Prices Wednesday (August 28th): Egg Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (28/8/2024) at 15.04 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are chicken eggs, milkfish, chicken meat, Indian mackerel, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, and red chilies have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,910 (5.04%) to Rp39,780 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili saw the sharpest price drop of Rp2,210 (4.08%) to Rp51,940 per kg.
