The Indonesian Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) report shows that state revenue reached Rp501 trillion (approximately USD 34 billion) by March 2022. This figure represents a 32.1% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, which was Rp379.4 trillion (approximately USD 26 billion).
This state revenue realization only reaches 27.13% of the 2022 State Budget (APBN) target. The target for state revenue in this year's APBN is Rp1,846.1 trillion (approximately USD 126 billion).
In detail, the realization of state revenue from tax receipts was the most significant, reaching Rp322.5 trillion (approximately USD 22 billion) in March 2022. This amount increased by 41.4% compared to the previous year's Rp228.1 trillion (approximately USD 15 billion).
Next, the realization of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) was recorded at Rp99.1 trillion (approximately USD 7 billion) in March 2022. This amount increased by 11.8% compared to the same period in the previous year, which was Rp88.6 trillion (approximately USD 6 billion).
Meanwhile, the realization of state revenue from customs and excise duties was recorded at Rp79.3 trillion (approximately USD 5 billion). This amount increased by 27.3% compared to the same period in the previous year, which was Rp62.3 trillion (approximately USD 4 billion).
Meanwhile, the realization of state expenditure reached Rp490.6 trillion (approximately USD 33 billion) as of March 2022. This value decreased by 6.2% from 2021, which reached Rp523 trillion (approximately USD 36 billion).
The larger state revenue compared to state expenditure resulted in Indonesia achieving a budget surplus in March 2022. The Indonesian APBN surplus was recorded at Rp10.3 trillion (approximately USD 700 million), equivalent to 0.06% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
