East Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall (Monday, April 15, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (15/4/2024) at 09.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,590 (8.89%) to Rp43,960 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp480 (7.05%) to Rp6,330 per kg.
