East Java Food Price Update Today: Prices of Fish, Beef, and Chicken Rise (Wednesday, November 22, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (22/11/2023) at 12:18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

Red chili prices increased the most, by 6.21% or Rp5,070, reaching Rp86,680 per kg.

Next, curly red chilies and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) increased by 3.19% or Rp2,050 to Rp66,240 per kg and 1.57% or Rp190 to Rp12,320 per kg, respectively.

The price of kembung fish increased by Rp500 or 1.47% to Rp34,540 per kg, the price of corn at the farmer level increased by Rp90 or 1.43% to Rp6,400 per kg, and the price of tongkol fish increased by Rp450 or 1.38% to Rp33,020 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of iodized fine salt decreased by 1.45% or Rp140 to Rp9,510 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in East Java.

The price of medium rice was recorded at Rp11,900 per kg, down 1.0%, the price of bulk wheat flour decreased to Rp10,010 per kg from Rp10,070 per kg, and the price of garlic cloves decreased by Rp150 to Rp30,880 per kg.
