Red Chili Pepper Prices in Gorontalo Increased by 17% in a Week

Red chili prices in Gorontalo reached Rp 66,400 per kg on Friday, February 18, 2022. Compared to other regions, this represents the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, red chili prices in Gorontalo have risen by 17% in the past week.

However, compared to prices 30 days prior, prices in the region are still lower by -26.02%.

Despite this, over the past year, red chili prices in Gorontalo's modern markets have actually decreased. The previous highest price reached Rp 153,700 per kg.

From January to February 2022, red chili prices in modern markets showed a downward trend, decreasing by -26.02% compared to the previous month.

Red chili prices reached a low of Rp 56,750 per kg on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 118,500 per kg.

Nationally, red chili prices began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of red chilies in modern markets was Rp 91,710 per kg, down 0.28% compared to the previous weekend.
