North Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Beef Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Sunday, January 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (21/1/2024) at 12:28 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, fine iodized salt, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish increased the most, by Rp1,140 (3.4%) to Rp34,640 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn decreased the most, by Rp960 (12.73%) to Rp6,580 per kg.
