Today's Food Prices in East Java: Chili, Egg, and Salt Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (31/7/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, medium rice, whole garlic cloves, bulk cooking oil, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, shallots, farmer-level corn, pure beef, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest increase, jumping Rp220 (1.85%) to Rp12,100 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp3,090 (8.55%) to Rp33,030 per kg.

7. Chicken Meat: Rp30,930 per kg (down 5.5%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,130 per kg (up 0.94%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,350 per kg (down 0.87%)
10. Shallots: Rp19,040 per kg (down 7.08%)
