Today's Food Price Update in West Kalimantan: Onion and Rice Prices Drop (Tuesday, January 23, 2024)

The price of several food commodities in West Kalimantan today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (23/1/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), red chilies, premium rice, broiler chicken, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged cooking oil prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp220 (1.22%) to Rp18,180 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp730 (8.21%) to Rp8,160 per kg.
