Red Chili Pepper Prices at Modern Market, April 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily price of large red chilies in West Kalimantan's modern markets has not changed compared to the previous day or the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets remains unchanged at Rp112,000 per kg.

However, the daily price of large red chilies in West Kalimantan's modern markets over the past three months has increased by 24.58% from the previous price of Rp89,900 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of large red chilies in the province's modern markets was in April 2020, with a 54.75% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2020, at -43.28%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in West Kalimantan show ten commodities decreased and 13 increased. The commodities with decreased prices are: Type II Low-Quality Rice, Rice, Red Chili Peppers, Grade 1 Beef, Fresh Layer Chicken Meat, Beef, Chicken Meat, Granulated Sugar, Chili Peppers, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in West Kalimantan Province:

1. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp169,000 (up 21.58%)
2. Medium-Sized Garlic per kg: Rp65,900 (up 10.02%)
3. Premium Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp18,250 (unchanged)
4. Type II Low-Quality Rice per kg: Rp13,100 (down 0.76%)
5. Rice per kg: Rp15,500 (down 3.43%)
6. Type I Medium-Quality Rice per kg: Rp16,550 (unchanged)
7. Red Chili Peppers per kg: Rp169,000 (down 15.08%)
8. Red Onion per kg: Rp59,900 (unchanged)
9. Grade 1 Beef per kg: Rp128,000 (down 21.47%)
10. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp24,500 (up 2.08%)
11. Garlic per kg: Rp65,900 (up 10.02%)
12. Fresh Layer Chicken Meat per kg: Rp34,900 (down 2.79%)
13. Type II Medium-Quality Rice per kg: Rp15,750 (unchanged)
14. Type I Super Rice per kg: Rp16,100 (up 0.31%)
