Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (9/9/2024) at 08.40 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, mackerel, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,440 (12.88%) to Rp12,620 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp3,150 (12.97%) to Rp21,130 per kg.
