Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Chili, Oil, and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (8/7/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, medium-grain rice, red chilies, granulated sugar, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp7,860 (69.43%) to Rp19,180 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp8,430 (22.18%) to Rp29,580 per kg.

6. Chicken Meat: Rp36,500 per kg (up 1.02%)

9. Red Chilies: Rp29,580 per kg (down 22.18%)
