Thursday's (June 27th) Food Prices in Central Java: Sugar and Beef Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (27/6/2024) at 10:01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk cooking oil, curly red chilies, chicken eggs, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp3,370 (11.65%) to Rp32,290 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices fell the most sharply by Rp3,870 (10.99%) to Rp31,340 per kg.
