West Kalimantan Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Others Fall (Tuesday, January 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Kalimantan today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (16/1/2024) at 14:46 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, curly red chilies, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, premium rice, red chili peppers, fine iodized salt, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel fish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp760 (1.76%) to Rp43,850 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp1,830 (3.7%) to Rp47,690 per kg.
