Residents of Aceh Jaya Regency spend Rp31.67 per capita per week on coconut oil.

The average expenditure of people in Aceh Jaya Regency to buy coconut oil in 2023 was Rp31.67 per capita per week. This figure is lower than the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp37.14 per capita per week.

Average per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, including purchases, gifts, and self-produced goods, divided by the number of household members. Household consumption is categorized into food and non-food consumption, regardless of the origin of goods, and is limited to household needs only, excluding consumption/expenditure for business purposes or given to others.

Expenditure on food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food consumption is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

The four largest household expenditures on oil and coconut products in Aceh Jaya Regency, in descending order, are: sunflower oil (Rp3482.5 per capita per week), coconut oil (excluding instant coconut milk) (Rp1,071.23 per capita per week), coconut oil (Rp31.67 per capita per week), and other oils and coconuts (Rp21.27 per capita per week – the lowest).

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the average per capita expenditure in this regency reached Rp1.39 million per capita per month in March 2023. This figure increased by 11.67% compared to March 2022, which was Rp1.24 million per capita per month.

Based on region, the highest household expenditure on coconut oil was in Raja Ampat Regency, and the lowest was in Banda Aceh City. Aceh Jaya Regency's expenditure on coconut oil ranked 329th. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure on coconut oil is Rp233.5 per capita per week.
