Current Food Prices in Banten: Chili Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (18/12/2024) at 09.49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, fine iodized salt, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), milkfish, mackerel, skipjack tuna, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp6,950 (19.14%) to Rp43,270 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna saw the steepest decrease, falling Rp3,480 (10.2%) to Rp30,650 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp31,000 per kg (up 4.73%)
