Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt and Chicken Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (11/12/2024) at 12:22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, premium rice, chicken eggs, mackerel, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, shallots, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp560 (2.03%) to Rp28,140 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp540 (1.56%) to Rp34,110 per kg.
