Bali Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Wednesday, January 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (24/1/2024) at 10:08 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, farmer-level corn, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,690 (15.21%) to Rp12,800 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp1,400 (3.82%) to Rp35,280 per kg.
