10 Provinces with the Highest Shallot Prices (Friday, May 5, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of shallots (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 52,700 per kg, data as of Friday, May 5, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 50,500 per kg.

The daily price of shallots in modern markets in North Maluku was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 69,200 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of shallots in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 42,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in East Kalimantan, shallots were sold at Rp 66,100 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of shallots in Banten was Rp 65,800 per kg, Southeast Sulawesi Rp 64,950 per kg, and Central Sulawesi Rp 62,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 16 provinces with shallot sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest shallot selling prices are North Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, and Riau Islands.
