Local Sugar Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Friday, February 25, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 13,530 per kg, as of Friday, February 25, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 13,390 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Gorontalo was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 16,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province has not changed. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 21,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 14,650 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in Aceh was Rp 13,800 per kg, Central Java Rp 13,750 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 13,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, eight provinces had local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar were Bali, East Java, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
