Latest Food Prices in Jambi Region: Rice and Sugar Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (30/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, curly red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, milkfish, Indian mackerel, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp1,790 (4.26%) to Rp43,800 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the lowest decrease of Rp2,180 (7.24%) to Rp27,930 per kg.
