South Sumatra Food Prices Saturday (April 12th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (12/4/2025) at 12:53 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, curly red chilies, packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, bulk wheat flour, shallots, dry soybean (import), and large red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel fish saw the highest increase of Rp1,313 (3.57%) to Rp38,120 per kg. The price of shallots saw the sharpest decrease of Rp1,202 (2.54%) to Rp46,192 per kg.
