Today's Food Price Update in East Java: Sugar and Wheat Flour Prices Drop (Friday, November 24, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (24/11/2023) at 12:25 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

The price of kembung fish increased the most, by 5.1% or Rp1,650, reaching Rp33,980 per kg.

Next, the prices of simple packaged cooking oil and bulk cooking oil increased by 0.69% or Rp110 to Rp16,050 per liter and 0.62% or Rp90 to Rp14,630 per liter, respectively.

The price of pure beef at Rp117,620 per kg increased by Rp710 or 0.61%, the price of corn at the farmer level at Rp6,460 per kg increased by Rp30 or 0.47%, and the price of premium rice at Rp14,060 per kg increased by Rp40 or 0.29%.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, red chilies, fine iodized salt, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies decreased by 3.22% or Rp2,170 to Rp65,300 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in East Java.

The price of red chilies was recorded at Rp84,290 per kg, down 2.96%, the price of fine iodized salt decreased to Rp9,560 per kg from Rp9,770 per kg, and the price of shallots decreased by Rp500 to Rp25,240 per kg.
