Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion, Chicken, and Beef Prices Decline

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (August 14, 2025) at 08:38 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler eggs, mackerel, medium rice, consumption salt, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption sugar, red onion, broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, and garlic bulbs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices jumped the highest by Rp1,317 (4.77%) to Rp28,900 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the sharpest by Rp2,875 (7.82%) to Rp33,875 per kg.
