Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Prices of Chicken, Salt, and Chili Peppers Drop (Friday, March 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (22/3/2024) at 09.23 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, pure beef, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp550 (3.6%) to Rp15,840 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the lowest decrease of Rp3,590 (6.87%) to Rp48,660 per kg.

6. Red Onions: Rp33,840 per kg (up 1.74%)
7. Mackerel: Rp31,470 per kg (up 2.41%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,980 per kg (up 0.84%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,780 per kg (down 1.65%)
10. Milkfish: Rp26,150 per kg (down 1.62%)
