Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Sugar and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (26/8/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, milkfish, red chilies, granulated sugar, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, shallots, premium rice, red chilies, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,170 (3.85%), reaching Rp31,580 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp4,430 (11.22%), reaching Rp35,050 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region according to Bapanas on August 26, 2024, at 09.11 WIB.

3. Mackerel: Rp37,570 per kg (up 1.62%)
4. Red Chilies: Rp35,050 per kg (down 11.22%)
5. Shallot Bulbs: Rp34,310 per kg (down 0.32%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp33,590 per kg (down 0.56%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,300 per kg (up 0.76%)
8. Red Chilies (Keriting): Rp31,580 per kg (up 3.85%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp25,200 per kg (down 0.32%)
10. Shallots: Rp19,170 per kg (up 0.95%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,700 per kg (up 0.12%)
