Food Prices in Banten on Saturday (June 15th): Chili Prices Rise, Oil Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (15/6/2024) at 13.09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, granulated sugar, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp8,440 (15.16%) to Rp64,100 per kg. Bulk cooking oil experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp290 (1.97%) to Rp14,400 per liter.
