Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Onions, Chilies, and Salt Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (3/12/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp7,760 (22.62%), reaching Rp42,060 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,490 (3.98%), reaching Rp35,990 per kg.
