Food Prices Today (17/12) in East Java: Rice Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (17/12/2025) at 17:02 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler chicken meat, Minyakita cooking oil, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, red onion, curly red chili, bird's eye chili, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Minyakita cooking oil saw the highest increase of Rp137 (0.83%) to Rp16,673 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili experienced the deepest drop of Rp5,334 (9.03%) to Rp53,714 per kg.

2. Bird's Eye Chili: Rp60,515 per kg (down 5.69%)
3. Curly Red Chili: Rp53,714 per kg (down 9.03%)
4. Red Onion: Rp45,515 per kg (down 3.9%)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp43,727 per kg (down 1.16%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,727 per kg (up 0.24%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp30,700 per kg (stable)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,152 per kg (up 0.3%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,235 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,168 per liter (stable)
11. Minyakita Cooking Oil: Rp16,673 per liter (up 0.83%)
