Daily Prices of Curly Red Chilies at Traditional Markets in North Sumatra Province Have Fallen 9.73% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 16:44 WIB, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in North Sumatra Province has decreased by Rp 2,300 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 38,500.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from Rp 42,650.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 28.55% from the previous price of Rp 29,950.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in this province was in June 2019, with an increase of 52.74%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2017, with a decrease of -32.13%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sumatra show three commodities decreased and 23 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are fresh layer eggs, fresh broiler chicken, and chicken eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in North Sumatra Province:

2. Grade I Medium Rice per kg: Rp 14,650 (up 4.27%)
3. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp 60,350 (up 51.44%)
4. Rice per kg: Rp 14,750 (up 3.51%)
5. Small Chili per kg: Rp 59,050 (up 52.78%)
6. Green Small Chili per kg: Rp 48,200 (up 19.75%)
7. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp 22,900 (up 5.29%)
8. Red Small Chili per kg: Rp 69,850 (up 88.78%)
9. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp 93,200 (up 1.8%)
10. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp 21,850 (up 4.3%)
11. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp 38,300 (down 1.03%)
12. Garlic per kg: Rp 48,600 (up 22.26%)
13. Grade II Medium Rice per kg: Rp 14,900 (up 4.93%)
14. Grade II Low-Quality Rice per kg: Rp 14,000 (up 2.56%)
