Daily White Sugar Prices in Modern Markets of Central Java Province Increased by 0.58% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel's latest information, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp17,400 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day, mirroring the price trend over the past week.

However, compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp17,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 1.46% from the previous trading price of Rp17,150 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was in February 2017, with an increase of 36.55%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017, with a decrease of -26.76%.

The PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Central Java today recorded nine commodities decreasing and 21 others increasing. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Super I Quality Rice, Below I Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium I Quality Rice, Quality 2 Beef, Medium II Quality Rice, Quality 1 Beef, Beef, and Rice.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price trend over the past month in Central Java Province:

7. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per Kg Rp21,300 per kg (down 0.23%)
8. Chicken Meat per Kg Rp45,450 per kg (up 3.18%)
