Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall (Friday, February 16, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (16/2/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, mackerel, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, pure beef, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp3,230 (6.3%) to Rp54,520 per kg. Milkfish prices, on the other hand, saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp140 (0.42%) to Rp33,500 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp36,270 per kg (down 0.03%)
7. Milkfish: Rp33,500 per kg (down 0.42%)
8. Red Onions: Rp33,250 per kg (up 1.0%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,260 per kg (up 0.37%)
