Current Indonesian Food Prices: Prices of Sugar, Chilies, and Eggs Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (23/4/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are red onions and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, mackerel fish, premium rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices saw the highest increase of Rp360 (0.69%) to Rp52,670 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease of Rp240 (3.08%) to Rp7,560 per kg.
