Latest Food Prices in East Java: Sugar Up, Rice Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 6, 2025) at 08.18 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities saw an increase and 12 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices are premium rice, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, large red chili, and dried soybean (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, red onion, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dried soybean (imported) saw the highest price increase of Rp715 (7.28%) to Rp10,542 per kg. As for SPHP rice, its price dropped most sharply by Rp12,027 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

8. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp29,200 per kg (down 8.45%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,571 per kg (down 9.13%)
10. Milkfish: Rp27,778 per kg (down 15.08%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,917 per kg (down 0.97%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,308 per liter (down 2.65%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,546 per liter (down 2.3%)
