Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Onions Down (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (22/1/2024) at 08.14 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 18 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, broiler chicken, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,350 (27.96%) to Rp15,330 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp5,650 (15.77%) to Rp30,170 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,760 per kg (up 1.47%)
8. Shallots: Rp30,170 per kg (down 15.77%)
9. Red Onions: Rp30,000 per kg (up 5.23%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,460 per kg (up 1.65%)
