Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onion, Chili, and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (27/8/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, SPHP rice, and fine iodized salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, chicken eggs, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp5,140 (13.58%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili pepper prices decreased the most by Rp5,940 (17.0%) to Rp29,000 per kg.

2. Milkfish: Rp43,000 per kg (up 13.58%)
3. Mackerel: Rp36,000 per kg (down 2.99%)
4. Garlic Bulb: Rp34,000 per kg (up 1.74%)
5. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,000 per kg (up 0.73%)
6. Chicken Meat: Rp32,000 per kg (down 4.22%)
7. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,000 per kg (down 3.6%)
8. Red Chili Peppers: Rp29,000 per kg (down 17.0%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,000 per kg (down 1.11%)
10. Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (up 1.92%)
