Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, March 27, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (27/3/2024) at 12.28 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, milkfish, premium rice, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, red onions, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp420 (1.34%) to Rp31,850 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn experienced the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp1,320 (18.28%) to Rp5,900 per kg.
